Amanda was born in De Smet, South Dakota, and later

moved to Sioux Falls, where she graduated from Sioux

Falls Roosevelt High School. She met her husband, Jason Willmott, and together they made their home on a farm near White, SD. Their small farm is full of life, including cows, chickens, and their dog, Snickers.

Jason and Amanda will celebrate 15 years of marriage in January 2026. They are proud parents to two daughters: Gabby (13), who is in 7th grade, and Macy (10), who is in 4th grade.

Amanda stays very busy, working full-time as an Activity

Director for Forte Living in Brookings. She joined

Leganger Lutheran Church in January 2025 and serves

faithfully as our secretary.

​

In her free time, Amanda enjoys baking, playing games

with her family, and cheering on her girls at their

sporting events.

A 2022 graduate from Sioux Falls Seminary, she was ordained for Ministry at Leganger Lutheran in Toronto, SD on September 17th, 2022. She was then installed as Pastor the next day during worship.  

 

She is married to Joel who is from the Martin, SD area.  They welcomed a daughter in September of 2024.  When she and Joel are not working, they enjoy playing with their daughter or playing cards.

 

The household pets are a joy to all too - a dog and cat. Katie grew up in SD, having been born in Aberdeen before moving to Sioux Falls, then Hartford.
